MORE ON GLOOR

SO......I frequently talk about the one and only inspirational Joey Gloor. He is my favorite famous figure and is my muse.

Well...basically my life is now perfect because   JOEY GLOOR SHARED MY PHOTO ON FACEBOOK.

I had posted a picture on his wall on facebook. It was a picture and quote of him that I have in my locker to pose as inspiration for me! I said "Joey, I see you in my locker at school everyday. You are my inspiration in each aspect of my life, thanks so much!" He shared the photo and commented this!!!!!!!:

I was so excited, I can't even begin to explain the elation that I felt. He has over 30,000 likes on facebook, yet he took the time to acknowledge me. I literally had to just go pop an hour out on the treadmill because I had so much anxiety and was so overwhelemed I needed to do something. I am really excited also, because I just ordered one of his tee shirts online and I cannot wait to wear it!!!!!

He also recently just posted a new video on youtube about finding a fitness role model. He is just so awesome... I can't even fathom it.

1. "Pick someone that you can actually aspire to be like aesthetically."
2.  "Do not idolize that person. Do not put them on a pedestal. We are all flawed."
3.  Use the role model for isnpiration and knowledge, but do not copy each thing that they do. We are all different!"

I really hope that another season of I Used To Be Fat comes up, and Joey is a trainer again, because that would be sweet!!!

The two things that I enjoy about Joey are his intellect and capabilty, along with his drive and intensity. He is quite knowledgable as a High School English teacher, along with his personal training career. And his intensity reminds me of myself. I feel as if Gloor is a mirror for me. We both are very intense, agressive, and impassive individuals and I love his work ethic.

My Recipes!

My top 3 favorite Indulgent Recipes!

Although I am an avid health concious individual, in order to keep my sanity, I do need to bake some treats to splurge on once in awhile so I'm not feeling deprived. I make these treats in a way that they taste yummy, yet do not contain nasty, harmful ingridients or chemicals.

Apple Cinnamon Protein Bars

4 scoops Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
1/2 c Oat Flour
2 tsp baking soda
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp nutmeg
3 egg whites
1/4 c Stevia Sweetner
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 c cottage cheese
3 medium grated apples
(Red Delicious is not ideal)

Grease an 8x8 pan with extra virgin olive oil, and preheat the oven to 350*

Combine all dry ingridients

Add in egg whites, cottage cheese, vanilla, then lastly the apples.

Pour into pan, then bake 25 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean!

(p.s. REALLY GOOD SERVED WITH 1 C FROZEN PLAIN GREEK YOGURT!)

Peanut Butter Balls

2 c Peanut Butter (Natural)
1 1/2 scoop Whey
3/4 c oats
1 c Crisp Cereal
1/4 c honey

Microwave peanut butter on low for 30 seconds. Stir in honey and whey. Add in oats and cereal. Form into balls and refrigerate overnight.

Can be frozen up to 3 months!

(I melt 80 percent organic dark chocolate then dunk them in this before refrigerating)

These are my favorite treats!!!!

Jillian Michaels

                           Jillian Michaels

Jillian is such a driving force for me. The information that she has put into the world has helped me to broaden my knowledge and get more of an understanding of things in the fitness and nutrition industry. She is well known for her work on The Biggest Loser, Losing It, and for her intelligence and wit.

She has a weekly podcast that I listen to. My favorite thing to do in this entire world is to sit down with a hot cup of tea, put on a Jillian podcast and just take notes. I discover so much about myself, others, and just life in general.

My favorite podcast that she does is called "Finding the Human Connection"

There honestly needs to be more people on the planet similar to Jillian Michaels. I have two other celebrity idols that I look up to.

Joey Gloor

Kid Cudi

Which Milk?

There are so many current choices on milk. With such a plethora of options, it can be quite difficult to distinguish the benefits among each variety. So, how do you know which to choose? Well I hope I can help with that!!!

Dairy

There is the classic milk, derived from cows. Typically, there are many people who suffer from lactose issues, and their bodies are sensitive to dairy. Therefore, this option may not be ideal. Also, I would not advise the consumption of dairy milk UNLESS it is organic. Conventional cows are given nasty hormones in order to yield mass quantities of milk, and these can disrupt functions within our endocrine system. Therfore, only strive for dairy when it is ORGANIC, and that goes for not just milk.

Almond Milk

Almond milk is a great alternative to dairy for those who have lactose issues. It is also soy free, along with dairy free. It contains omega 3 fatty acids. I however, do not prefer the taste of it all that much.

Coconut Milk

When it comes to milk, this is my favorite when it comes to taste. The vanilla flavor of So Delicious brand is really good! (and it is endorsed by Jillian Michaels, which is awesome, because she is so amazing!) It also contains some essential fatty acids and if you enjoy coconut, it is a nice treat.

Soymilk

THE ABSOLUTE WORST OPTION.

Soy has been proven to be estrogenic, increasing the chance of developing breast cancer. Soy is also subsidised by the government and is found in literally every single processed food, and is honestly harmful if not fermented. Therefore, I do not advocate soy milk.

There are still a few more options, but these are typically the most popular. Personally, I use ORGANIC FAT FREE DAIRY.

JUST REMEMBER, ALWAYS STRIVE FOR ORGANIC DAIRY, MEATS, AND THIN-SKINNED FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.
